The JobFit Extension Is Live on Microsoft Edge — and It's Free

We have some news: the JobFit extension is now available on Microsoft Edge Add-ons, and it’s completely free to start. If you’ve been job-hunting in Hong Kong with a growing pile of open tabs, this one is for you.

Why we built JobFit

Job hunting in Hong Kong has a specific, painful rhythm. Postings are scattered across five boards — JobsDB, CTgoodjobs, Indeed, Recruit and Moovup. The good ones get taken down within days, sometimes hours. And the default strategy most people fall into is to apply to everything, tailoring a résumé for roles they were never going to clear screening on.

The result is a double loss. You waste an hour per application on postings that a filter would have rejected anyway. And after a few dozen silences, your confidence takes the hit — even though the real cause was simply applying to the wrong roles, not the quality of your résumé.

We built JobFit around one idea: you should know whether a job is worth applying to before you spend an hour on it.

What JobFit does for you

JobFit works in two parts:

1. Capture. The Edge extension adds a side panel to your browser. When you’re on a job detail page on any of the five supported boards, click Save current job and the full posting — title, advertiser, and the entire job description — is captured instantly. Your copy survives even after the original listing comes down.
2. Assess. Open the JobFit web app (on your phone or desktop — same account, same data) and each saved posting becomes a three-dimension fit check:
   • Willingness — do you actually want this role, or are you applying out of reflex?
   • Hard requirements — will your résumé clear the must-have skills and qualifications screening?
   • Soft requirements — can you handle the interview-style expectations buried in the posting?

Each dimension produces a 0–100 score with a clear band, plus a per-question review, so you walk away with a concrete decision — apply, prep, or move on — instead of a vague feeling.

How to start (under two minutes)

1. Install the extension from Microsoft Edge Add-ons.
2. Open a job detail page on JobsDB, CTgoodjobs, Indeed, Recruit or Moovup, open the JobFit side panel, and click Save current job.
3. Open the web app, break down the job description, and take the fit check. Get your scores, review the answers, and decide.
